News of the discovery of a new elementary particle that could be the Higgs boson is on the front page of Sydney newspaper websites (which normally would be plastered top to bottom with the State of Origin). #Higgs is trending high all over the world, even in the US where it's Independence Day.
It's nice to have the cynic in me get a beating once in a while.
